Start with the wedding you actually want
Choose three priorities before choosing a venue.
Before opening another inspiration tab, each of you can write down three things you want to remember about the day. It might be a long dinner with your favourite people, time outside, or a small ceremony without a crowded schedule. Compare those lists and choose a few priorities you share. Keep them beside your budget so that each new idea has something to be measured against.
Next, make a first guest estimate and agree on the money already available. Separate confirmed contributions from hoped-for help. Leave a reserve rather than assigning every last amount to a supplier. Use the budget split tool to explore options, then save the choices you agree on in your private planner.
You do not need a finished vision to begin. Choose one next step that will reduce uncertainty: a venue enquiry, a discussion with family, or checking a date. Give that step an owner and a date. A useful plan helps you make decisions; it does not need to look perfect.
