Build a wedding timeline with breathing room
Protect the transitions as carefully as the main events.
A timetable made only of ceremonies, portraits and meals leaves out the moments when people move, wait, find someone or need a break. Start with fixed times from the venue and suppliers, then add realistic travel, setup and transition periods around them.
Work backwards from any hard finish time. Ask the photographer and caterer what they need in order to do their work well. Keep personal preparation time separate from the guest-facing running order, so guests receive a simple plan rather than a production document.
Choose one person to hold the current supplier schedule and another way for key people to reach them. Put a short buffer before the moments that matter most to you. A calm schedule gives the day room to be a real day.
